Otty&Co. LTD

These Terms of Service explain how our tableware hire works and what you can expect when booking with Otty&Co. LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order or confirming a booking, you agree to these terms.

About Us

Otty&Co. LTD
Company number: 16889765
Registered address: 131 Finsbury Pavement, London, England, EC2A 1NT

Our Items

We hire luxury tableware including crockery, cutlery, glassware, and related pieces (“Items”). All Items remain the property of Otty&Co. LTD at all times.

Your quotation or invoice will confirm the Items selected, quantities, and rental prices.

Hire Period

Our standard hire period is three (3) days, unless agreed otherwise:

Day 1: Delivery or client collection

Day 2: Event or day of use

Day 3: Collection or return

Extensions & Late Returns

If you need Items for longer than the standard hire period, an extension fee of 10% of the total rental value (ex. VAT) per additional day will apply, unless agreed in writing in advance.

Returns made late without prior agreement will incur the same daily charge, which may be deducted from your security deposit.

Responsibility for Items

Items are your responsibility from the moment they are delivered or collected until they are returned to, or collected by, us.

All Items are inspected on dispatch and on return. We may take photographs to record their condition.

Payments

A booking is confirmed once we have received the required deposit and issued written confirmation.

Payment structure:

50% deposit payable at the time of booking (including any required security deposit)

Remaining 50% payable 7 days before delivery

Items will not be dispatched if payment has not been received by this time.

Payment method: Electronic bank transfer only. Bank details will be provided on your invoice.

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit equal to 20% of the total order value is required.

The deposit will be returned within 14 days of collection once Items have been checked, minus any charges for:

Breakages, chips, cracks, warping, corrosion, or other damage

Burn marks, staining, or permanent damage

Missing Items

Late returns

Additional cleaning required

Replacement costs (charged at current retail value plus reasonable administration costs)

If costs exceed the deposit, the balance will be invoiced.

Delivery & Collection

Delivery and collection fees may apply and will be confirmed in advance.

Please ensure access and attendance at the agreed time. Additional charges may apply for failed deliveries, difficult access, or out‑of‑hours requests.

If you choose to collect Items, they must be transported safely using suitable containers. Responsibility transfers to you during loading, transport, and unloading.

Care, Cleaning & Hygiene

Items must be handled carefully and used only for their intended purpose.

Standard cleaning is included in the rental price. Items should be returned scraped and lightly rinsed, free from excess food waste.

Items returned in an unhygienic condition may be refused and subject to additional cleaning or disposal charges.

Loss & Damage

You are responsible for any loss or damage to Items during the hire period.

Lost or damaged Items are charged at full replacement value, not the rental price. Charges may be deducted from the deposit or invoiced separately.

Cancellations

Client cancellations:

More than 30 days before the event: full refund minus an administration fee

14–30 days before the event: 50% refund

Less than 14 days before the event: no refund

Cancellations must be made in writing.

Cancellations by Otty&Co. LTD:

If we need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, all payments received will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for any additional losses incurred.

Health, Safety & Use at Events

You are responsible for ensuring Items are used safely and in compliance with UK health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, including appropriate risk assessments and food handling practices.

Liability

We are not liable for injury, damage, or loss caused by improper use of Items, third‑party actions, or circumstances beyond our control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, transport disruption, strikes, or public health emergencies.

Privacy

Personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and used only for purposes related to your booking.
